What is the CMRP program?
The Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
program certifies the knowledge, skills, and abilities of maintenance,
reliability, and physical asset management professionals.
Is the CMRP program accredited?
Yes, the CMRP program is accredited by the American National
Standards Institute (ANSI) and follows globally recognized ISO standards
for accreditation purposes.
What are the eligibility requirements for the CMRP exam?
To be eligible for the CMRP exam, candidates must complete and
submit the CMRP application, pay all applicable fees in advance, and not
have sat for the exam within the past six (6) months.
How much does it cost to take the CMRP exam?
The exam fees are $300.00 (USD) for SMRP members, $250.00 (USD) for
Sustaining Sponsor employees or U.S. Veterans, and $470.00 (USD) for
nonmembers.
What does the CMRP exam assess?
The CMRP exam assesses professionals' aptitude within the five
pillars of the SMRP Body of Knowledge (BoK): Business and Management,
Equipment Reliability, Manufacturing Process Reliability, Organization
and leadership, and Work Management.
Can anyone take the CMRP exam?
Yes, the CMRP exam is available to any maintenance and reliability
professional, regardless of educational background or work experience.
